4Points Lighthouse provides out of school program activities for children in grades K-12. Our creative learning approach provides academic support that is engaging and fun for students of all ages. The goals of our programs are to increase interest, confidence and skills through hands on learning projects. 4Points Lighthouse programs places emphasis on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) educational opportunities. The results we will see will be an increase in school and college readiness and students ready for S.T.E.A.M. careers.

4Points Lighthouse Summer camps programs focus on empowering Elementary and Middle school students with the skills, tools, and resources needed to experience hands on S.T.E.A.M. learning. Our Summer Camp programs are curriculum based activities with experiments, field trips and guest speakers. The S.T.E.A.M. camp operates for 2 weeks onsite at school locations. Recent guest speakers and field trips included: Georgia Power, Atlanta Hawks, Henry County Water Authority Water Treatment Plant, and World of Coke.

Our Saturday program will focus on competitive robotics activities that are team oriented. This program will include long distance field trips. The Saturday program will host workshops and information sessions to introduce both parents and children to careers and college tours.

The Outreach program will coordination with educational groups, schools, corporations in Georgia, nationally and international to bring opportunities to our K-12 students. The focus of the outreach program is to find and create opportunities that will be of interest and value to students in K-12 as well as their parents and guardians. By working together with companies, schools, and the communities we will strengthen the communities and with strong communities, companies will also benefit from future customers and employees.

 Our program goals include:

  • Increase interest in S.T.E.A.M. activities.
  • Develop competences to engage in activities.
  • Understanding of the impact of S.T.E.A.M. in society.

Our program measurement indicators include:

  • Participants actively participate in learning activities.
  • Awareness of S.T.E.A.M. career fields.
  • Increased understanding of the impact and role S.T.E.A.M. areas have in society.
