The Beatrice E. Bush Foundation has an inaugural scholarship project in which we will award two students from Tri-Cities High School with an education and entrepreneur scholarship. Today, some students take a traditional route after graduating and go to college, whereas others take a non-traditional route after high school and start a business. We want to cater to both. Students applying for the education scholarship will submit an essay expressing their future career goals and how a college degree will be an asset to those goals. Those applying for the entrepreneur scholarship must submit a lean or traditional business plan highlighting their start-up expectations and execution ideas. We want students to feel empowered as they take steps into the “real world.” This scholarship will place confidence in students who are going to college, and those starting a business will be have a stepping stone that can will them an advantage.

It takes a village and The Beatrice E. Bush Foundation wants the students of Tri-Cities High School to know that people in their community care and are willing to invest in them and their future. Each forthcoming year we plan to give bigger and better scholarships to more students. Our overall goal is to see students succeed and if we can lend a helping hand in doing so we are more than  happy to set up to the plate.
